The Department of Energy of the Russian Federation has taken part in the round table devoted to increase of power efficiency of regional power systems.

On March, 24th in the State Duma of the Russian Federation has passed a round table on a theme «The Basic directions of power efficiency increasing in regional power systems by introduction of the decentralized power generation, including the combined heat and electric energy power stations». The event was headed by the Chairman of State Duma Energy Committee of the Russian Federation Mr. U. A. Lipatov's, There were the representatives of Federal and Regional authorities, State Duma deputies, power companies and public organizations representatives..

Participants of a round table have noticed that now for the Russian economy the value of the “small” decentralized power energy has increased. It can be considered as protection tool against the price rising and the way to increase the reliability of power supply. It shall allow creating additional capacity on a case of peak loadings or extreme cases, to provide reserve energy sources for socially significant and strategically important objects.

The creation of the “small” decentralized power energy facilities with using of local kinds fuel for the isolated power systems is especially actual. The program to develop the “small” decentralized power energy could become as necessary addition to the General Electric power facilities scheme up to 2030.
